Köln – Major alarm in Cologne: There was a shooting in a parking lot at the Motorworld hall in the Ossendorf district in the evening. Two men were seriously injured.
Emergency services received the emergency call around 10 p.m. There was a dispute between several people involved near Motorworld, an event location at the historic Butzweilerhof Airport.

As the police confirmed to BILD, shots were fired. Two men were shot and seriously injured. You are receiving medical treatment in the hospital.
A major operation is currently underway. The area around Motorworld was cordoned off by the police. The emergency services are securing traces and a search for others involved has been initiated. According to BILD information, a man has so far been temporarily arrested near the crime scene.
Police arrest man after shooting
When the shots rang out, there was an exuberant celebration just a few meters away. A sold-out dinner show with up to 1000 visitors took place in the Motorworld hall. Prominent guests were also there.
Due to the large-scale operation, guests were temporarily not allowed to leave the building. After the show ended, they were escorted out by police officers.
Nothing is yet known about the background to the crime. The police are investigating and checking, among other things, possible connections to the rocker community.
