The Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency announced that on Monday, December 1, at noon, they will close both public calls for the installation of photovoltaic power plants in family homes, and they emphasize that so far they have received reported by more than 8,000 citizens. Riječ is about invitations worth a total of 28 million euros through which citizens are given incentives for installed photovoltaic power plants for the production of electricity for their own consumption in 2024 and 2025, the Fund announced. They note that the invitations are intended for owners of family houses who, in addition to their residence at the address of the house at the time of commissioning, also met all other administrative and technical conditions – including the legality of the building, the consent of other co-owners and the like.
To the public call for co-financing of power plants installed in 2024, the Fund has so far received a total of about 2,300 requests, while co-financing for power plants installed in 2025 was requested by 5,700 citizens.
The Fund advises applicants to once again check the accuracy and completeness of their applications. All possible corrections and additions can be made no later than Monday, December 1, at 12 noon.
Applicants whose requests will be positively evaluated and within the available funds will be entitled to co-financing of 600 euros per kW of installed power of the photovoltaic power plant, or up to 50 percent of the paid investment.
In the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, they emphasize that in the past two years they have co-financed around 5,600 photovoltaic power plants, and this year’s public calls will further increase that number.
They emphasize that such investments enable citizens to significantly reduce energy costs, greater energy independence, and contribute to the goals of decarbonization and the promotion of renewable sources, especially solar energy.
The Fund plans to continue financing such programs in the coming years, in accordance with national energy and climate strategies.
