This is the beginning of the message that the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, sent for the 75th anniversary of Agenzia Italia.
“From 1950 the new agency was immediately characterized by one incisive and modern stylecapable of narrating and accompanying Reconstruction, not only economic and
industrial, but also social and moralof a country destroyed by war. Pushed after a few years by Enrico Mattei, her specific vocation was that of
recount the main facts of the Italian economy and politicsframing them in an international perspective. – we read – In the panorama of Italian information, Agi has always represented a point of reference, thanks to the prestige of its journalists and the ability to adapt to the great transformations imposed by technology and the appearance of new media. Dynamism and foresight, professionalism and reliability are necessary qualities to face the new challenges posed to information – and to society as a whole – by the development of‘artificial intelligence. A new adventure opens up before our future, full of potential, but also of unknowns. My hope, on this very significant anniversary, is that the Italian Agency will continue its activity with the prestige and the liveliness of its long history”.
