“It’s the Democrats’ fault”: Donald Trump, caught in a nightly tweeting frenzy, attacks figures from the opposition party

Who is really behind Donald Trump’s Truth Social account? Dr Trump or Mr Trump? Last night the President of the United States was caught up in an hour-long posting frenzy that ended around midnight. The most surprising thing being that Potus was active again just before 6 a.m. this Tuesday…

President Donald Trump launched into a litany of posts on Truth Social on Monday evening, where he published a whopping… 150 tweets in a few hours! Among these messages included compliments on the first lady, Melania Trump, and several others containing conspiracy theories in particular on Democratic Representative Nancy Pelosi but also videos on Kamala Harris, flattering comments about himself and attacks against his political rivals.

Between 7 p.m. and midnight, the president reposted around 150 tweets — an average of one post every two minutes for five hours — from X accounts unknown to the general public and his close allies, discussing an improbable spectrum of topics. The highest concentration of posts occurred between 11 p.m. and midnight, with around 100 posts in the last hour alone.

Trump attacks former soldier

Less than six hours after capping his avalanche of posts, the president returned to his social media platform at 5:48 a.m., declaring: “TRUTH SOCIAL IS THE BEST!” There is nothing comparable!!! »

In a particularly nostalgic post, Trump reposted a video with the caption: “Christmas is officially great again!” » The video included a clip of Trump in Mom, I missed the plane 2a clip of Kamala Harris, and footage of the president and Melania Trump looking at Christmas trees.

Trump also once again attacked Sen. Mark Kelly and other Democrats with military backgrounds who released a video statement last month telling troops they “can and must refuse illegal orders.”

“Mark Kelly and the group of unpatriotic politicians were WRONG to do what they did, and they know it! I hope that people watching will not be fooled into thinking that it is acceptable to openly and freely incite others to disobey the President of the United States,” Trump wrote.

Less than an hour later, Rep. Jason Crow, one of the lawmakers featured in the video, responded furiously: “The president can post on Truth Social all he wants, but he will never threaten or intimidate me.” I’ve taken many oaths — as a paratrooper, an Army Ranger, and now a member of Congress. My obligation is to the Constitution, not Donald Trump. »

Nancy Pelosi, the cible

Several other posts attacked his usual nemesis: Pelosi, California Governor Gavin Newsom and former President Joe Biden.

A post on the former leader of the Democrats on Capitol Hill called for her to be “put behind bars”, unfoundedly asserting that her collaborator was involved… in the Capitol riot of January 6!

Trump’s ‘mental decline’

Trump reposted a video of Florida Republican Rep. Byron Donalds making remarks, where he thanked God Harris didn’t win in 2024. In the same minute, the president reposted an X user praising Trump: “Donald Trump is not a Democrat, he’s not even a Republican, it’s a movement!” The greatest president of all time. »

Democratic influencer Harry Sisson joked: “In the middle of the night, Trump posted to Truth Social over 150 times in an hour. That’s at least 2 posts per minute. If a family member or friend did this, you would stage an intervention. Trump is not doing well and he was clearly experiencing a moment of mental decline. »

Many political commentators from across the Atlantic are wondering about this frenzy of the American president which corresponds to almost two messages per minute, far from these usual standards.
