At least two Palestinians killed by Israeli Army fire in eastern Gaza

At least two Palestinians were killed this Wednesday by shots fired by Israeli troops in eastern Gaza despite the ceasefire agreed between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to implement the first phase of the United States proposal for the future of the Strip, which came into effect on October 10.

Medical sources at the Al Mamadani hospital have indicated that the two fatalities have been transferred to the health facilities during the morning. One of them would have been hit by gunfire when she was in the Zeitun neighborhood.

The second deceased, identified as Jalal Obeid, 46, was in a market in the same neighborhood, located near the Yellow Line established in the agreement, according to information collected by the newspaper ‘Filastin’, related to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

The Gaza authorities, controlled by this group, have reported in a statement that the death toll from the offensive launched by Israel after the attacks on October 7 amounts to 70,117, while the injured now stand at 170,999.

Since the entry into force of the last ceasefire, 360 deaths have been confirmed due to Israeli attacks, although the total number of deaths amounts to 617 since many of them correspond to bodies recovered from the rubble.
