TikTok chooses the four Peruvian SMEs that fight for USD 25,000 to boost their business

The #EmprendeEnTikTok program announced the four finalist Peruvian SMEs that will compete for seed capital of up to $25,000, after a call that brought together almost 3,200 applicants in its first edition in the country.

Those selected—Crafters, Crucero Miramar, Wawki and Don Manrique—will have access to personalized mentoring along with startups from Mexico and Colombia. TikTok promotes the initiative in alliance with New Ventures to strengthen MSMEs through digital training and strategic support.

According to the Ministry of Production, in Peru there are close to 2.3 million MSMEs, which represent 99.4% of the national business fabric, which makes the country a dynamic terrain for entrepreneurship.

In this edition, Peru concentrated almost 20% of registrations from Latin America, with a greater presence in the food, gastronomy, agriculture, textile, technology and electronic commerce sectors. Furthermore, 45% of participants were women.

The program, presented in June, brought together public institutions, incubators, universities and content creators, and seeks to consolidate TikTok as a platform for the commercial growth of small businesses in the region.
