Mayor Mamdani urges New Yorkers to stand up to anti-immigration agency ICE: “Know your rights”

“We can all stand up against ICE,” he said. That is, if you know your rights, after which Mamdani gives an anthology of things that the immigration authorities can or cannot get away with. Opposition to ICE

Even before his election, Mamdani made it clear that he would strongly oppose what he calls “the manhunt” by immigration service ICE. A position that did not make the democratic socialist at all popular with President Trump. Their meeting at the White House was surprisingly amicable, but during his visit to Washington DC Mamdani reiterated that ICE’s “inhumane raids” must be stopped immediately. “These raids do nothing to improve public safety.
