Impressive numbers at the 2025 International Tea Festival

The World Tea Fest 2025 series was first held in Lam Dong, the cradle of the famous B’lao tea, including more than 10 activities ranging from art, exhibitions, indigenous culture to commerce and education. In particular, the Vietnamese-style tea offering ceremony performed by 1,111 tea fields on Bao Loc tea hill created a special mark of the festival.

The ancient tea factory built in 1927 opened to welcome visitors, displaying 1,000 ancient tea trees, also attracting tourists to visit and explore the heritage of more than a century of the Vietnamese tea industry.

In particular, the festival has the participation of nearly 80 Miss Cosmo contestants and more than 60 ambassadors, trade counselors and consulates of countries, creating a colorful international exchange space. Unique art programs with the participation of international contestants contribute to bringing a vibrant atmosphere and spirit of integration to the festival.

World Tea Fest 2025 also marked with the participation of many countries such as Japan, China, France, Sri Lanka, Taiwan – China… This is an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to approach international standards, learn advanced production models and introduce products to global buyers.

In addition, the Tea Summit event with discussion sessions on consumer trends, sustainable development and building specialty tea brands has helped businesses and farmers shape long-term development paths, improve production processes, improve quality and increase international competitiveness.

After nearly a month, the event attracted thousands of visitors, contributing to stimulating Lam Dong’s accommodation, culinary, and shopping ecosystem. Experiences of visiting tea farms, processing tea, enjoying tea art or seasonal tourism open up the potential to form the brand “Vietnam tea tourism”, helping Lam Dong become an outstanding destination for experiential tourism.

Along with cultural – economic – diplomatic activities, the organizing committee also focuses on educating the young generation through programs such as Tea Talk and Gen Tea, helping young people access tea craft knowledge, market trends and creative entrepreneurial thinking, contributing to forming the next generation to help Vietnamese tea develop sustainably in the future.

In the framework of the closing ceremony, on December 7, the Gen Tea 2025 contest – “Illuminating the soul of tea, inspiring youth” organized for the first time for young tea lovers, ended after many rounds of competition in Ho Chi Minh City and Lam Dong. Overcoming more than 100 competing teams, the Cuu Long team (Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture and Ho Chi Minh City University of Management & Technology) won the championship.

The closing stage featured artists Hien Thuc, Ngo Lan Huong, Kay Tran, Tang Duy Tan, Bich Phuong… attracting the attention of many tourists and local people. The art program closing the festival was staged with unique performances, creating a modern and creative performance but still imbued with traditional identity, creating inspiration for the future of the Vietnamese tea industry.

World Tea Fest 2025 has created a strategic push, spreading the essence of Vietnamese tea. Under the direction of the Provincial People’s Committee and the coordination of Nam A Bank, Doi Dep brand, Lam Dong Tea Joint Stock Company and Miss Cosmo Organization, the event left a mark in the hearts of tourists and opened the expectation that Da Lat – Bao Loc will become the “tea festival capital” of the region.
