Today at Rome a 24 hour transport strike called by Sul, a unitary workers’ union, will put the metro, buses and trams at risk. The service along the Atac network will only be guaranteed within the legal periods. Or from the start of service until 8.29am and from 5pm to 7.59pm.
While it will not be guaranteed in the other bands. The protest is to ask the company to intervene on some critical issues indicated by the workers: individual shift changes of the drivers, meal inconvenience, reward discrimination in the various company production sectors and in parameter adjustments, enhancement of internal professionalism, discipline, safety levels in the garages and at the pedestrian exit of the Portonaccio garage.
The strike is the prelude to the one on Friday 12 December called by the CGIL against the budget law.
