BIDV accompanies business households to switch from presumptive tax to declaration

BIDV develops a sales management application, supporting business households to track income and expenditure, issue invoices on the same platform, reducing the cost burden when switching from presumptive tax to declaration.

From January 1, 2026, about 5 million business households nationwide will switch from paying flat tax to declaring. The new regulations are considered an important step towards transparent tax management, but also create a lot of pressure for small businesses that are used to manual recording.

In Hanoi, Ms. Nguyen Van Chi, owner of the vermicelli restaurant on Yen Ninh street, said that the store uses the house space to do business, has many small expenses, and the revenue is not high, so it almost does not keep records and invoices.

Similar to Ms. Chi, Mr. Le Van Thanh – a trader at Thanh Cong market said that small traders hardly understand taxes. He is worried that there will be mistakes because he is not familiar with the procedures, and hopes to find a channel to support implementation according to the new regulations.

Responding to the concerns of business households, Ms. Le Thi Duyen Hai, Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Tax Consulting Association, said that currently banks and software solution providers have developed many tools to support business households in analyzing cash flow, limiting errors, and reducing bookkeeping burden.

In particular, BIDV has developed a comprehensive sales management application MyShop Pro, right on SmartBanking, allowing business households to use a single platform for sales, revenue statistics and free electronic invoice issuance.

Ms. Le Thi Thanh Yen, Deputy Director of BIDV Retail Products Department, shared that MyShop Pro is an application that connects businesses, banks, tax authorities and digital partners, helping businesses’ sales activities become more convenient. MyShop Pro feature set includes: multiple store, product and employee management; create product catalogs, sales menus; customer management; create – process orders; revenue and expenditure management; Revenue and profit reports. All transactions via QR or Payphone are automatically recorded, separating business and personal cash flows. In particular, customers who register in 2025 can use MyShop Pro for free for life.

Mr. Mai Son, Deputy Director of the Tax Department, Ministry of Finance highly appreciated BIDV’s role in providing comprehensive financial and technology solutions, from anytime, anywhere tax payment platforms to sales management support systems, electronic invoice issuance and incentive programs for business households.

“The activity is a clear demonstration of BIDV’s role as a “companion” in the process of transforming tax management methods and supporting customers to modernize business management activities,” Mr. Mai Son shared.

Mr. Son also said that the tax authority has designed the declaration form in the simplest way. During the trial period from early December 2025, business households will be approached and given suggestions. Tax authorities will coordinate with software providers to receive feedback, ensuring the transition from presumptive tax to declared tax takes place smoothly and effectively.

“Tax officials have to serve millions of business households, while the number of civil servants is limited, so it is necessary to mobilize coordinated strength from banks, technology businesses and tax agents to provide synchronous support,” Mr. Mai Son stated.

After just over two weeks of implementing the 60-day peak campaign, BIDV branches have coordinated with 34 provincial and city tax departments and 350 tax units across the country. In each area, BIDV has directly supported business households to become familiar with tax declaration.

Mr. Le Ngoc Lam, General Director of BIDV, said that the bank has fully prepared the technology platform, human resources and service ecosystem to support business households during the transition process.

“I believe that, with the determination of the Tax industry, the proactive companionship from BIDV and the support of business households, it will create new breakthrough momentum for Vietnamese business households in the digital era,” Mr. Lam emphasized.
