Is Commisso selling Fiorentina? The president’s ‘truth’ and the Serie B nightmare

“If I had reasoned in this way every time I found myself in difficulty with one of my companies, today Mediacom would not represent the excellence that it is! All companies go through moments of difficulty, but the foresight of those who lead a company lies precisely in learning from the dark moments in order to come out of them stronger. I have never given up in any of my activities and even more so I won’t do so now”, explained the Viola president.

“I know that the first team’s ranking situation is very complicated. The people who work with me understand the dynamics perfectly and have worked in football for many years. They earned our strong trust with the results obtained last season and continue to have our full support as we face this moment”, he continued, “then it is clear that at the end of the season everyone’s work will have to be evaluated but at this moment the people who work at Fiorentina have my utmost trust”.

Then on the words of Fiorentina’s sporting director, Roberto Goretti, who after the defeat against Sassuolo spoke of drastic decisions: “We are always in constant contact, I stay updated every day through the Ferrari CEO and the management team. We are living in a difficult situation and we must get out of it in any way, we cannot allow Fiorentina to go down. We are all responsible and everyone must feel responsible. The responsibility is shared by everyone: the club, the players and all the people who work around the team. In every case the players must understand that they too are responsible, that they must put all their contribution and dedication into it, always”, concluded Commisso.
