300 safe agricultural product booths at the event connecting supply and demand

Nearly 300 booths of safe agricultural and food businesses from localities inside and outside the province were introduced to a large number of Thanh people.

The conference to connect supply and demand and display and introduce safe agricultural and food products in Thanh Hoa province in 2025, takes place from December 11 to December 15 at Lam Son Square, Hac Thanh ward.

According to the organizing committee, this year’s event attracted nearly 300 standard booths, an increase of 40 booths compared to 2024, including booths of communes and wards in the province, industry associations, businesses, Thanh Hoa cooperatives and many units from neighboring provinces. Hundreds of typical products such as clean agricultural products, processed foods that ensure food safety and hygiene, and OCOP products are displayed and introduced to people and partners.

Mr. Cao Van Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, said that the supply-demand connection program combined with agricultural product display has been an annual activity since 2014, playing an important role in promoting links between production and consumption establishments, forming a safe agricultural product supply chain. This is an opportunity to promote the image of Thanh’s land and people, contributing to improving the value of agricultural products and attracting investment in the agricultural sector.

Previously, at the 2024 Supply-Demand Connection Conference, 20 businesses signed 10 agricultural product consumption contracts.

The entire province is currently building and maintaining 87 safe food supply chains, providing more than 669,000 tons of food to the market, from rice, vegetables to meat, poultry and seafood. The formation of linked chains has helped to control product quality from production to consumption, while promoting the development of cooperatives, cooperative groups and processing and distribution facilities.

Thanh Hoa currently has about 600 businesses, cooperatives and agricultural production facilities participating in sales on e-commerce platforms such as Voso, Postmart, Shopee, Lazada or Tiki… with thousands of products widely introduced. This is considered an effective support channel for local agricultural products to reach larger markets.

At the event, delegates evaluated the production and consumption of agricultural products in 2025, shared experiences in expanding markets and proposed many solutions to promote supply-demand connection activities in the coming time. Businesses and cooperatives have signed 10 contracts to consume safe agricultural products and food.

Provincial leaders believe that currently only about 30% of the province’s agricultural products are distributed through the value chain linkage system, the rest is still consumed mainly through traditional markets and small retail stores. This makes producers passive, lacking market information and easily falling into a situation of “good harvest, falling prices”.

Mr. Cuong requested localities, departments and businesses to continue to effectively implement agricultural development policies, strengthen the link between production and consumption, promote business model innovation and increase the value of agricultural products, in accordance with the goal of developing the agricultural sector towards modernity and high added value.
