Is it necessary to fast during radiotherapy?

There is currently no scientific basis to show that fasting during radiotherapy helps kill cancer cells more strongly. In fact, fasting during radiotherapy can easily lead to weight loss, malnutrition and reduced immunity, making the patient tired, making it difficult to maintain treatment, and affecting the ability to respond to treatment.

There is no scientific research confirming that drinking male papaya flower leaf juice, ink grass or other folk herbs helps shrink tumors or increase the effectiveness of radiotherapy. These leaves contain antioxidants that provide some health benefits but do not help treat cancer. Arbitrarily using these leaves has the potential to cause liver damage, blood clotting disorders and even interact with medication, reducing effectiveness or increasing toxicity.
