Poetry becomes a gesture of love, beauty and solidarity. On Tuesday 16 December, in Rome at the David Sassoli Space, the literary project, ‘Xenia, will be presented as a national preview. Petals of Poetry’ by Elena Rossi, published by Armando Curcio Editore. The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Representation in Italy of the European Parliament, promoted by Donne For Peace ETS and edited by Armando Curcio Editore; a project that saw the collaboration of Human Installations and numerous artistic, cultural and solidarity entities, together with important protagonists from the world of fashion, art and photography.

In ancient Greece, ‘Xenia’ represented a rite of hospitality culminating in a gift offered to the guest before his departure. The collection of poems of the same name was born from this image of encounter and reciprocity, where the poetic word is transformed into welcome, care and human connection. Elena Rossi’s poems, dedicated to her father Sandro Rossi, arise from a dialogue with his absence: a path of reunion through words, memory and love. Between dreams, pain and hope, the book becomes an intimate and universal journey, capable of transforming loss into rebirth.

The project has a charitable purpose: the entire proceeds from sales will be donated by the author to the care of oncological children and young Ukrainians suffering from oncological pathologies of the Women for Peace Network. At the same time, the association has activated a fundraising campaign aimed at the same objective of treating small cancer patients. “Poetry is a bridge between the world that lives outside and the one that lives inside us”, explains the author Elena Rossi. “Love is the powerful tool thanks to which words and souls ‘walk’ together for a greater cause. Thanks to those who inspired me, my father Sandro Rossi, and to all those who made this project a reality”.
