Rachael Carpani, popular Australian actress seen in NCIS, dies ‘suddenly’ at the age of 45

Australian actress Rachael Carpani, best known for her role in the series “The McLeod Ranch”, has died “suddenly” at the age of 45. It was his parents who announced the sad news in a press release published today on the Instagram account of his sister, the singer Georgia.

“It is with immense sadness that Tony and Gael Carpani announce the sudden but peaceful death of their daughter, the late Australian actress Rachael Carpani, following a long chronic illness, in the early hours of Sunday, December 7,” the statement said.

The actress was best known for playing the role of Jodi Fountain in the Australian television series “The McLeod Ranch”, in which she played from 2001 to 2009. A role which earned her two nominations for the Gold Logie Awards, the Australian television awards.

A short career in the United States

She was also popular thanks to her role in “Summer Bay”, a legendary Australian soap opera with more than 8,000 episodes still in progress, notably broadcast on France 3 from 2007. She also had a career in the United States with roles in the series “NCIS: Los Angeles”, “Against the Wall”, “Stalker” and even “The Glades”.

She shared a photo shoot on Instagram in March 2024 in which she implicitly mentioned a long stay in hospital, without giving more details about her state of health. “And a little glimpse of my return in front of a lens 2 days ago… no hospital gown, no extravagant surgical socks… I must admit that I missed the comfort,” she wrote on her social networks.
