The Islamic Republic of Iran’s judiciary said a verdict is expected soon in the case of a dual Iranian-Swedish national accused of spying for Israel. The case is being heard by the Revolutionary Court of Alborz Province.
“According to the case file, confirmed by his own confession, he was recruited by Israeli intelligence in 2023. He was trained in six European capitals, visited Israel several times and entered Iran a month before the last war,” said judicial spokesman Asghar Jahangir.
According to him, it was during the military conflict with Israel that the defendant carried out his criminal activities. Electronic equipment was confiscated from him.
Iranian authorities regularly report the elimination of Israeli intelligence cells. According to them, during and after the war, more than 700 people were arrested in the country on suspicion of collaboration with Israel.
