Finland The Church Board of the Evangelical Lutheran Church will cut its operations by three million euros by the beginning of 2027. The full session of the Church Board approved the savings plan at its meeting on Tuesday.
According to the release, the cuts mainly consist of personnel reductions. By reducing personnel, approximately 2.7 million euros will be saved. A total of 31.6 years of personal work will be reduced.
186 employees of Kirkkohallitus are involved in the negotiations. According to the release, personal decisions will be made on January 30.
According to the Church Board, savings can also be obtained from contract and system changes and by reducing subsidies.
