Finnish The new singer of the metal band Battle Beast is Marina La Torraca.

The band announced on Monday on social media that Nora Louhimo quits the band as a singer after 13 years.

The Brazilian La Torraca is known for the metal group Phantom Elite and the symphonic metal music Exit Eden. The 41-year-old artist is from São Paulo and he is said to live in Germany.

The release states that he has also performed in musicals in German-speaking countries. In addition, he works as a vocal coach and graphic designer.

“Is it a little scary to follow in the footsteps of a singing legend like Noora? Really! Is it also very inspiring? Absolutely,” La Torraca commented in the announcement.

Band said on Monday in his Instagram update that he is sad about Noora Louhimo’s departure, but that he fully supports her decision to pursue “new creative paths”.

According to the release, La Torraca’s first gigs with the band will be in Japan and Australia in March. The band says they are excited about a new phase in the band’s story.

HS:n a Battle Beast spokesperson reached by email on Tuesday Silke Yli-Sirniö told that Louhimo has already left the band. According to Yli-Sirniö, the matter was announced after the last show of Battle Beast’s European tour in Warsaw, Poland.
