Faced with a drop in audience, France Inter will modify its morning show at the start of the school year

Only fools don’t change their minds. Four months after having launched with great fanfare a “Grande Matinale” scheduled from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., the management of France Inter has decided to already review its copy, visibly preferring to face a trial for erraticism rather than stubbornness. “We want to give more clarity to listeners. We have heard their feedback,” we explain in the corridors of France’s leading station regarding the upcoming adjustments.

In the meantime, around fifteen weeks have passed on the air, representing as much feedback, but also a first wave of audiences during which France Inter’s “prime time”, still very much the leader, nevertheless lost nearly 300,000 fans in one year on its historic slot (7 a.m. to 9 a.m.). A downward trend also observed between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., a period completely revised at the start of the school year.
