Miikka Muurinen’s Partizan found a new coach

Finland basketball sensation Miikka Muurinen the club team Partizan has finally named a new head coach.

The club announces that it has hired a Spaniard for the job Joan Peñarroyan. Most recently, he has coached Barcelona, ​​from which he was fired in November of this year.

Peñarroya arrived in Belgrade on Monday and will start his duties today, Tuesday. A new assistant coach also joins the coaching team Uros Dragicevic.

Partisan drifted into a chaotic situation when its game did not work from the beginning of the season and the legendary coach Zeljko Obradovic resigned from his position in November.

In recent weeks, Partizan has been whipped by an interim head coach Mirko Ocokoljic. In the mess that followed Obradovic’s resignation, the club’s sporting director also changed.

The Belgrade giant is only 17th in the 20-team Euroleague. In the Adriatic League, the situation is better, as Partizan, which has only lost once, is languishing as second in the league.
