Samsung’s new line of Odyssey gaming monitors debuts an ultra-high resolution 6K 3D screen

Samsung has presented its new range of Odyssey 2026 gaming monitors, which introduces five new models with improvements in resolution, refresh rates of up to 1,040 Hz and immersive visual performance, including the company’s first monitor with 6K 3D technology, without the need to use glasses.

The company will show its new members of the Odyssey range within the framework of the technology fair CES 2026, which will be held in Las Vegas (United States) from January 6 to 9, in order to publicize their new experiences of Immersive visualization to satisfy users’ “ambitions” the world of video games.

In this sense, Samsung has presented the nuevo monitor Odyssey G9 3D 6K, the first gaming monitor with 3D technology without glasses of the sector designed to offer “a new way to enjoy games on a monitor”.

This model (G90XH) has a screen of 32 inches and, thanks to its real-time eye tracking technology, it is capable of adjusting the depth and perspective of the images based on the user’s position. In this way, Samsung has explained that it manages to create a feeling of “layered dimension” which results in a 3D gaming experience without the need for glasses.

Added to the 3D vision is that the monitor has a 6K resolutionalong with a 165Hz refresh rate that can reach 330 Hz through dual mode. Likewise, it offers a GtG response time of 1 ms, which is equivalent to high motion clarity, reducing ghosting effects in fast scenes.

With all this, the company has detailed in a statement that players will be able to play high-quality compatible games with optimized 3D effectsdeveloped in collaboration with video game studios. This is the case of titles like The First Berserker: Khazan, Lies of P: Overture y Stellar Blade, that will allow you to play 3D.

UP TO 1,040 HZ WITH THE NEW ODYSSEY G6

The Odyssey family of monitors has also been expanded with the new 27-inch Odyssey G6 (model G60H)which has been designed to “enhance competitive advantage” as it is the first gaming monitor to achieve a 1,040Hz refresh rate, thanks to its dual mode and native compatibility with QHD up to 600 Hz.

This refresh rate ensures differentiated esports-level motion clarity, helping players track their goals or visualize the smallest details during high-speed footage, as the company has detailed.

Likewise, for gaming times that do not require as much speed, this monitor can also increase performance when necessary, shifting to providing ultra-sharp resolution instead of so much speed, so gamers can visualize the worlds of video games with high quality.

Samsung has also indicated that the new Odyssey G6 also adds support for technologies AMD FreeSync Premium y NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible, in a way that guarantees that “every frame is fluid”, as well as highlighted colors.

HIGH RESOLUTION WITH THE NEW ODYSSEY G8 OPTIONS

The new features for 2026 in the Odyssey range end with three new versions of the Odyssey G8 monitors, each one designed to offer different resolution and speed options, so that they adjust to the needs of users.

One of these versions is the 32-inch Odyssey G8 (model G80HS), which also offers 6K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, although it also supports up to 330Hz if you drop the resolution to 3K, thanks to its dual mode.

For his part, the new 27-inch Odyssey G8 (model G80HF) It offers a sharper 5K resolution and its refresh rate reaches 180 Hz. However, like the previous model, it also has a dual mode that increases the refresh rate to 360 Hz in QHD, offering more fluid movement.

The latest version presented is the monitor 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 (model G80SH), which features a 4K QD-OLED resolution panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, as well as glare-free display options, 300 nits brightness and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, which translates into deeper color contrast and dark tones.

This version features a DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20) input that supports up to 80Gbps bandwidth, delivering “drop-free” HDR and VRR playback.

The three models have been designed to offer flexibility to both players and content creators, depending on whether they require sharper details for immersive video game worlds or whether high contrast is prioritized for cinematic images.
