According to the company, the structural changes in the cinema field and the weakening of the film market have affected the financial result.

MRP also produced the popular Nature Documentaries The story of the forest, The story of the lake and The story of the fell.

He did not want to comment further on the matter.

“The sale and distribution of the company’s films have faced significant challenges in recent years,” the company’s press release states.

The industry is undergoing a major change, as the announcement says:

“The structural changes in the movie theater field and the weakening of the domestic and international film market have especially affected the financial performance of the company’s key productions.”

It is reminded that the success of Finnish cinema depends on theater visits:

“The vitality of Finnish cinema is largely based on the domestic audience, which is why going to cinemas and watching domestic films is central to the continuity of the industry.”
