National Guard in Chicago, the Supreme Court rejects Trump

Supreme Court of the United States has established that, for the moment, the President Donald Trump cannot deploy the National Guard in the area of Chicagoin the context of his drive to use soldiers to patrol the streets of cities led by Democrats.

After more than two months of examination, the Court refused to temporarily suspend the decision of a district judge which blocks the “federalization” and the deployment of hundreds of members of the National Guard throughout theIllinoisrejecting the emergency request presented by government.

“In this preliminary phase, the government failed to locate a source of authority which would allow the military to enforce the laws in Illinois“, we read in theunsigned ordinance. I Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito e Neil Gorsuch they expressed contrary opinion.
