Eleven on eleven for Antwerp Giants after nail-biter in Brussels, Kangaroos Mechelen down in Kortrijk

Through a dunking Kevin Tumba and a strong Joel Murray, the Giants took the lead at 38-39, but Jalen Finch three-pointed Brussels Basketball to a 41-39 bonus halfway through.

The people of Brussels were also mostly in charge in the third quarter (47-44 and 54-48), but with three-pointers from Enoch Cheeks and Vincent Kesteloot it went to a 54-57 Antwerp bonus. The Giants, just like the second quarter, narrowly won the third period but started the final quarter with a 62-61 deficit.

In that last quarter, the Giants raced away to a 67-76 bonus via Vincent Kesteloot and a dunking Kevin Tumba again. Brussels punished Antwerp’s losses of the ball, Kevin Tumba received a ridiculous technical foul and at 72-76 tension in money-time was a fact. Brussels came up, but despite missed free throws, the Giants, who won three quarters, secured the narrow win. Kevin Tumba (12 points, 10 rebounds) and Joel Murray (18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists) were the standouts, with a double-double.
