Vietnam Airlines increases flights to serve the New Year

Accordingly, from January 1 to January 4, 2026, Vietnam Airlines will increase flights on routes forecast to have high demand between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Hue, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Pleiku, Buon Ma Thuot, and Con Dao.

Other airlines are also planning to increase flights. Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, Sun PhuQuoc Airways have recently added new aircraft to serve increased passenger demand at the end of the year.

During peak periods, passengers are recommended to proactively book seats and buy tickets via the airline’s website, mobile application or at the airline’s official ticket office or agent.

Travelers should check in online before their flight within 24 hours before departure via the website, mobile application, VNeID or at self-check-in kiosks. In particular, passengers are encouraged to use biometric check-in technology to shorten check-in time at the airport.

Passengers who have completed online or biometric check-in and do not carry checked baggage can go straight to the security screening area, without needing to go through traditional check-in counters, thereby saving waiting time and reducing pressure at the airport during peak hours.

Yesterday, the railway industry also announced an increase in many trips on short trips that have high demand such as Hanoi – Vinh, Lao Cai, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City – Nha Trang, and Da Nang.

In addition to creating additional trains with about 13,400 seats, the railway industry also added more cars to regular trains, increasing the total number of seats provided to 22,000 seats. Particularly, the Hanoi – Hai Phong route is given priority with 10,000 seats.
