Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things is ending after nine years

One of the biggest TV phenomena of recent years is coming to an end. Stranger Thingsin half of the last season was seen at the end of November and half is still to come. Three episodes will be released early on Boxing Day and the entire series finale on New Year’s Day.

I watched all the past episodes of the series again before the start of the fifth. What does the series that broke viewership records look like now?

Boring, but I have to say that the first season, which came out almost ten years ago, is still the best. It is the most complete whole of the seasons, a clear and concisely told story.

Dufferin of the authors known as brothers, identical twins born in 1984 Matt and Ross Dufferin the series was a special combination from the beginning. Its every picture oozed nostalgic love Stephen Kingille, Steven Spielbergille and other 1980s entertainment. Still, it felt fresh.

From Stranger Things quickly became a cult favorite. However, as viewer numbers grew, it happened like many successful series. Season after season it swelled and the focus was a little drowned in the world’s Russian adventures. It has still been an entertaining activity.

The new episodes have been waiting for an unnecessarily long time. The production cycle slowed down as the effects budget grew. The original child actors are now young adults.

There are huge expectations for the final season. The authors are big names. At its core the series is a pretty simple sci-fi horror story. Stranger Things has been based more and more on the atmosphere instead of the story, especially as it progresses. The plot became mostly just a framework in the third season at the latest. The main thing is that the mood rolls from scene to scene.

The color compositions of the pictures and the transitions to the following ones are exact. The music is on, and the atmosphere is magical. In the fourth season, a turbo gear was switched on in 80s nostalgia. The two top scenes of the season were built on blockbuster hits. Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill rose to the charts with the series and Metallica Master of Puppetsia no doubt met on the necks of guitars around the world.

Main however, the reason for the series’ popularity is the same one that did Arkajalat (Goonies) from the 1980s youth film classic, despite the fluff story: the main character group.

The heart of the group is the young couple El (Millie Bobby Brown), a broken representative of the supernatural world, and Mike (Finn Wolfhard), an American geek boy who pulls on his friends Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

The series began with Will’s son (Noah Schnapp) about disappearing. The evil of the underworld has touched him. The episodes seen in November ended with the expected revelation – Will, who has suffered a lot, has a power that will probably defeat evil in the end, along with Eli.

So far, the fifth season has promised a good ending.

Where house hit streak ends? According to the Duffer brothers, the series finale will feature a song performed by the band that has never been played in any series before.

What could it be?

One option is Queen’s Who Wants to Live Forever. It was already played in the trailer of the last season, so in that case the surprise would have already been revealed. Maybe Pink Floyd Learning to Fly or Heart’s What About Love?

It should be something uplifting and wistful. For such an atmosphere Stranger Thingsin should end.
