The Prado surpasses its visitor record in 2025 for the third consecutive year with almost 3.5 million, 22,781 more than in 2024

The National Prado Museum has once again surpassed its visitor recorda fact that is repeated for the third consecutive year. Thus, in 2025, 3,479,838 people have passed through its rooms, 22,781 more than in the previous year.

Although these are provisional data with three days left until the end of the year, the art gallery has already announced that it is an increase in the annual historical maximum.

The month in which the most visits were recorded was in May (with 339,062 people) while May 3 has become the date, for the moment, with the greatest influx of public with a total of 17,484 visitors. Until 2025 ends, the month of December has been the month with the fewest visits, with 230,158.

In fact, already in July Prado sources explained that their rooms had received 1,847,710 visitors during the first half of 2025, increasing the number of visitors by 3.43% in the first half of 2024in which it received 1,786,419 visits.
