The LG xboom by will.i.am portable audio speakers are renewed with AI, more autonomy and resistant designs

LG Electronics has expanded the xboom sound range in collaboration with artist will.i.am, with four new portable audio devices that offer artificial intelligence (AI) character interaction and longer battery life.

Portable audio will continue to be a key growth driver for LG in 2026, as stated by the director of the audio department of the LG Media Entertainment Solution division, Lee Jeong-seok, and will do so with a combination of performance, AI and design.

The new xboom by will.i.am audio products, which are inspired by stage speakers, will contribute to this, as the technology company has pointed out in a press release, in which it has also confirmed that it will show them within the framework of the CES 2026 fair in Las Vegas (United States), with a view to their launch in world markets in 2026.

The new xboom by will.i.am speakers will allow users to interact with voice through FYI.RAiDiO and AI characters, of which there are ten available, and an AI DJ, to have two-way conversations with them.

They also have the MY button or the FYI.RAiDiO application so that users can receive real-time and personalized selection based on location, adapted to different contexts and moments.

Artificial intelligence is at the center of the experience of the four new xboom by will.i.am speakers, which offer functions to automatically adjust the audio (AI Sound), multicolor lights (AI Lighting) and improve sound quality based on the environment (Space Calibration Pro).

XBOOM STAGE 501

xboom Stage 501 includes AI Karaoke Master mode, which uses deep analysis of over 10,000 songs to remove or adjust vocals and even adjust pitch, so users can sing solo, duet with the artist, or keep vocals down if they feel self-conscious.

This speaker offers up to 25 hours of playback with its interchangeable 99Wh battery, and an output power of up to 220W (160W with the battery). Design-wise, it features a pentagonal enclosure that can be positioned vertically, horizontally, tilted or mounted on a tripod, and includes dual woofers, full-range drivers and Peerless tweeters.

XBOOM BLAST

xboom Blast is designed for the outdoors, has side protectors and has passed durability tests according to military standards. It also includes a side rope handle to transport it.

LG has highlighted the autonomy of this speaker, which reaches up to 35 hours of playback with its 99Wh battery, and offers an output power of 220W and three passive radiators to create a wide soundscape.

XBOOM MINI

xboom Mini, with its compact design, is designed for everyday use. It offers up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge and clear, well-defined sound with Sound Field Enhance, even in open spaces.

It has a strap that allows it to be attached to backpacks or railings, touch controls and an integrated tripod mount. It is dust and water resistant with IP67 certification so it can also be used outdoors.

XBOOM ROCK

xboom Rock is another small portable speaker in which LG has reinforced its durability by subjecting it to seven military tests so that it can be used in difficult outdoors. It offers up to 10 hours of playback and a power of 6W.

Sound Field Enhance technology allows quality audio to remain in open spaces and allows music to be shared between multiple speakers with LE Audio Auracast.
