Wenzenbach – Horrific find in the Upper Palatinate: A walker discovered the brutally mauled carcass of a deer. The animal had been decapitated and one of its forelegs had been cut off.
After the discovery near Wenzenbach (Bavaria), the woman informed the responsible hunter, who alerted them police. Officials said the animal’s head could not be found.
No gunshot wound to the carcass
According to a police spokesman, it was unclear whether proceedings would be initiated for violating the Animal Welfare Act. In any case, the animal did not have any gunshot wounds that would indicate that it was appropriate for hunting hunting would interpret.
