Iranian Foreign Minister expressed readiness for dialogue with the United States, Ayatollah Khamenei compared Trump to Pharaoh

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that the Islamic Republic is ready for negotiations with the United States, but the dialogue must be honest and based on mutual respect. Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that Iran is interested in negotiations.

The foreign minister said the situation in Iran was under control and also asserted that protesters in Iran deliberately resorted to violence to give Trump a reason to intervene. He called the rioters “terrorists.” “The Islamic Republic of Iran does not seek war, but is fully prepared for it,” he added.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai said lines of communication between Tehran and Washington remain open. “Dialogue can be conducted through the US special representative or traditional mediators such as Switzerland,” the official said.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei posted a cartoon on the social network X showing the broken sarcophagus of the American president.

“Tell this arrogant subject who judges the whole world: tyrants and arrogant people like Pharaoh, Nimrod, Shah Reza, Shah Mohammad Reza and the like were overthrown when they were at the height of their pride. He will be overthrown in the same way,” the Iranian dictator wrote.
