He became known in the 1990s thanks to his acerbic satire of the world of work, Dilbert . A comic strip that has enjoyed great success around the world. Scott Adams has died at the age of 68, his former wife announced Tuesday.
The author was receiving hospice care at his home in northern California after being diagnosed with prostate cancer. Host Shelly Miles announced his death on the cartoonist’s YouTube channel, “Real Coffee with Scott Adams.” US President Donald Trump paid tribute to a “big influencer”in a publication on its Truth Social platform.

A controversy in 2023
His famous character as a tie-clad engineer operating in a world as absurd as it is petty – with his slack employees, his incompetent boss and a megalomaniacal dog – was published in hundreds of newspapers around the world, such as Washington Post or USA Today in the United States, Liberation In France.
But many publications stopped publishing it after Scott Adams released a video in 2023 in which he called the black population “hate group”, implicitly supporting the thesis of anti-white racism. The author then reacted to a survey carried out by the American institute Rasmussen Reports, specifying that a certain number of black people questioned believed that it was not “OK to be white.”

The best advice I could give to white people is to stay away from the black camp.the artist had considered. Faced with the reaction aroused by his words, Scott Adams had more or less backpedaled. He received the support of billionaire Elon Musk, who called the American media “racist” for deciding to stop publication of the comic strip.
