Venezuela appears as American in a doctored image distributed by Donald Trump

In the center of the image, between Trump and the European leaders, a photograph has been generated with the map of America, in which the American flag extends over the territories of Canada, Greenland and Venezuela.

The publication of the image seems to be another example of the objectives that Donald Trump has set in terms of foreign policy since he began this term.

Trump has on several occasions considered Canada as another state of the United States and has captured the Venezuelan leader, Nicolás Maduro, accusing him of being a narcoterrorist and intends to try him in New York after imposing a puppet government in the South American country led by the country’s former Chavista vice president, Delcy Rodríguez.

Furthermore, in recent weeks, the US president has launched several threats against Greenland, an Arctic island under Danish sovereignty, which he wants to annex, even with the use of force if necessary, which has opened a serious crisis within NATO, to which both countries belong.

A few hours before spreading this new snapshot, Trump made his ambitions known with an image on his Truth Social profile in which he appears planting the American flag on the island flanked by the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and the Vice President, JD Vance.

The image is also released just a few hours before Trump goes to the Davos Forum in Switzerland, where he could maintain contact with some of the leaders attending the event and has already confirmed a meeting with Mark Rutte, with whom he will address the Greenland issue.
