Netflix will expand its cloud video game offering in 2026 with ‘party games’ and a new FIFA

Video games are a prominent part of Netflix’s entertainment business, which it offers within its subscription, with options to play on different types of devices, especially after the jump to television.

Last November it introduced ‘party games’, the digital version of board games, to play on the television in a group with friends and family using a ‘smartphone’ as a controller.

These games, which include Boggle, Pictionary, Lego Party and Tetris, are available “to about a third” of its members. And after recording “encouraging first results,” Netflix intends to expand its cloud gaming catalog in 2026.

This intention has been shared in the call to shareholders on the occasion of the financial results for the fourth quarter of 2025. One of the titles and confirmed is a “renewed FIFA football simulation game.”

This news comes after in the summer it decided to structure its offer and eliminate more than 20 mobile titles, including Hades, LEGO Legacy and the Monument Valley saga, which represented almost 20 percent of its catalog. The goal was to focus on genres that can do well.
