Vranješ: Croatia can win anyone, but it has one problem

– Some important, experienced, but also excellent players have left you. New ones have arrived, which need time. And you can see that these new games also have qualities. But above all, you need to have patience. They should be given time to work it all out. Croatia needs a reset, we need to see what can be done better, where we can improve – said Vranješ about the state of the Croatian national team for tportal.

He said that he did not watch the last two matches of Croatia against Georgia and the Netherlands, but only the last few minutes. However, he noticed the problem that Croatian handball players have in the current championship.

– Croatia can beat any national team, but at the moment I don’t think they can win seven, eight games in a row at this kind of tournament. With this young team, that is not realistic – he concluded and added that the game against Iceland is key, and a victory would give a big wind in the back of the game.

Vranješ played in the middle outside position even though he is 168 centimeters tall. He was also on the bench of the Serbian national handball team where he succeeded Veselin Vujević, and he spent only seven days in that position.
