A “master plan” for the reconstruction of Gaza was presented in Davos: port, airport, new housing

Judging by the scheme, the authors propose development in a “ribbon” along the coast with a gradual progression from south to north: from Rafah (Rafah) to Khan Yunis and further north to Gaza City.

In particular, it is planned to build “180 mixed-use towers” ​​on the Gaza coast; behind this “coastal belt” there will be residential areas, parks, agricultural areas, sports facilities, industrial complexes (including data centers and high-tech production facilities).

A new trilateral border crossing (Gaza, Egypt, Israel) is planned to be built in Rafah. A seaport is planned to the west of it, and an airport to the east. The plan also provides for large-scale construction of roads, including ring highways.

Note that in the eastern part of the sector (currently controlled by the IDF), judging by the “general plan”, housing construction is not planned – industrial, park and agricultural zones are planned there.

The timeline, budget and funding sources for this plan are not yet known. But, apparently, the budget, as conceived by the American administration, will be formed by the “Peace Council” created by US President Donald Trump.
