“Only 40% of the vote? False polls against me”, Donald Trump’s attack on the New York Times

Donald Trump wants to take the New York Times which he mentions “fake” polls casting doubt on his administration’s achievements. In a post on Truth, the American president writes: “Something needs to be done about the fake polls! They are truly out of control. We have the best economy in the history of our country, we have the strongest border in history, no one has ever done a job like I’ve done, and they only give me 40% of the vote. The Democrats have destroyed healthcare, I’m trying to fix it and they give me fake low numbers. Fake polls on the economy, on the borders, on practically everything, are ridiculous and dangerous.”

Instead, Trump argues, “real polls are great, but they refuse to publish them… The New York Times and many others publish polls that are blatantly false. They have become deranged and sick. They suffer from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). Their coverage of the 2024 election was terrible and completely wrong, yet they were never held accountable for it. But I am calling them to account with the lawsuit that I have filed and which is making its way through the courts. They have to pay a price for fake news and fraudulent and hopefully in the not too distant future, they will!

Fake and fraudulent surveys should be considered, virtually, a criminal offense“, said the president on Truth Social, citing for example when “all the anti-Trump media that followed me during the 2020 election showed polls that were clearly wrong”. “They knew what they were doing, trying to influence the election, but I won in a landslide – Trump reiterated – and yet if you examine the failing New York Times, the fake news of ABC, NBC and CBS, CNN with its low ratings or the now defunct Msdnc, the polls were all fraudulent and had nothing to do with the final results.”

Something needs to be done about fraudulent surveys. Even FoxNews and Wall Street Journal polls have, over the years, been terrible! There are excellent pollsters who got the elections right, but the media doesn’t want to use them in any way, shape or form – he denounced – It’s not sad what has happened to American journalism, but I will do everything I can to prevent this poll scam from going forward!”.
