The ‘hybrid’ headphones that combine work and entertainment

In hybrid work the distinction between ‘office’ headphones and models designed for music are becoming fewer: on the one hand, reliable microphones and compatibility with video meeting platforms are needed, on the other, comfort, autonomy and listening quality for daily use.

Jabra is moving in this direction the new Evolve3 series explicitly designed for “cross-over” use, i.e. both professional and entertainment.

The range includes two models: Evolve3 85, over-ear headphones (cups that wrap around the ear) aimed at greater isolation, and Evolve3 75, on-ear (rest on the ear) designed for a lighter fit and greater awareness of what is happening around.

“Headless” microphone and more readable voice in difficult environments

The most characterizing element is the choice of a design without microphone stand: voice is captured through a combination of multiple microphones and algorithms, with Jabra ClearVoice neural network (DNN) technology. The declared objective is to improve call clarity even in noisy contexts without resorting to the traditional visible boom mic, typical of call and office headphones.

Next to this, Jabra indicates a adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC) which adjusts in real time based on the environment and fit. A point highlighted by the company is that the ANC would continue to work during calls, not just between content – an approach designed to reduce distractions when switching between meetings, commuting and working in shared spaces.

“Ready” for voice commands and AI tools

Another trend on which several producers focus concerns the use of the voice for interact with digital tools and assistants. Evolve3, according to Jabra, offers one-touch access to high-accuracy voice interaction and transcription functions: the company speaks of a system trained on over 60 million sentences and an accuracy of up to 96% of words in various environments (which rises to 99% in open space), values which however remain declarations of the manufacturer and which, as always, depend on the context and platforms used.

Extended autonomy, fast charging and replaceable batteries

On the practical front, autonomy is one of the points on which the company insists: up to 25 hours of calls and up to 120 hours of listening. It is also planned fast chargingwith the indication of 10 hours of use in 10 minutes of charge, in addition to wireless charging.

In terms of durability, Jabra also highlights replaceable batterieslinking them to regulations and the theme of the “right to repair”: a choice that can especially interest the business segment, where headphones are often managed over multi-year cycles.

IT management and control apps

For enterprise use, the series is listed as certified for major Unified Communications platforms, with secure Bluetooth connections and a pre-paired adapter for quick setup.

Management can switch between Jabra Plus Management (for IT) and the Jabra Plus app for users, with options such as equalizer and firmware updates. A desktop version of the app is listed as “later in 2026.”

Overall, the launch of Evolve3 photographs a clear trend: headphones designed for productivity that seek to be more “wearable” and versatile, so as to seamlessly switch from calls and meetings to music, podcasts and content in your free time.
