JBL BandBox, a new amplifier and speaker that uses AI to separate voices and instruments

JBL has presented the range of amplifiers and JBL BandBox portable speakers which use artificial intelligence (AI) to separate voices and instruments in real time to create personalized mixes that accompany the artist.

The JBL BandBox range uses technology Stem AI to isolate or remove vocals, guitar or drums from any track in real time from the device itself, with the aim that the musician can perform a song with a personalized mix.

This technology is present in the new BandBox Solo and BandBox Trio, focused on solo musicians and groupsrespectively, regardless of their level, to which they offer balanced audio with clear highs, enveloping mids and deep bass, as JBL highlighted in a press release.

BandBox Solocompact in size, includes a guitar or microphone input and gives access to various functions from the JBL ONE ‘app’, such as the possibility of choosing between vintage or modern amplifier models and effects such as modulation, chorus and reverb without the need for pedals.

BandBox Triofor its part, includes four instrument inputsand allows you to balance levels, shape the tone and apply effects directly from the speaker thanks to the integrated four-channel mixer.

This group-oriented model uses a replaceable battery y physical controls on the unit itself, for touch control.

Both models, JBL BandBox Solo and Trio, will be available from February at a price of 229.99 euros and 599.99 euros, respectively.
