The production company Atrece Creaciones receives the Global Visionaries award, awarded by Spain Film Commission, for ‘Mudras’

The producer Atrece Creations has been awarded the Global Visionaries award, awarded by the Spain Film Commission (SFC), for her work on the documentary ‘Mudras. Weaving invisible threads, the first official co-production between Spain and India, they say from SFC.

This award was presented this Friday at the 8th edition of FITUR Screen, the European tourism and audiovisual forum organized by SFC within the framework of FITUR 2026.

“An emblematic production that represents the first official co-production between Spain and India under the bilateral treaty between both countries“, the entity explained in a statement.

The film, which in Spain has had the support of the Valladolid City Council, the Government of Castilla y León, Casa de la India and the participation of RTVE, will be released in theaters next spring.

The recognition has been received by the founder and director of Atrece Creaciones, Anna Saura, for her leadership “with a creative and strategic vision“; and Rishabh Chopra, the head of production at Bollywood’s longest-running production company, Yash Raj Films.

“Both receive this recognition for their work as promoters of cultural and audiovisual relations between Spain and India,” adds SFC.

The feature-length documentary is directed by María Salgado with associate direction by Bobby Bedi and produced by Anna Saura, along with Marino García and Bobby Bedi. The story follows Mónica de la Fuente and her daughter Nazaré, both dancers, on a round trip that unites past and present: Mónica discovered the arts of South India three decades ago, while Nazaré repeats the trip to draw on the same culture and create a new choreographic work with her mother.
