Rapper Doums placed in police custody, accused of domestic violence by his ex-partner, actress Adèle Exarchopoulos

Rapper Doums, whose real name is Mamadou Coulibaly, was placed in police custody for violence against actress Adèle Exarchopoulos between 2017 and 2024, according to information from Parisian confirmed by AFP from corroborating sources.

He has been questioned by the police since Thursday in a police station in Paris as part of an investigation into habitual violence by a spouse and non-compliance with a protection order, a police source told AFP, which follows a complaint filed in October 2024 by the actress who had had a multiple cesar.

According to information from ParisianAdèle Exarchopoulos had already been interviewed by investigators in the fall of 2025 as part of this procedure which links her to her former partner, with whom she had a child in 2017. The actress wanted to avoid the media coverage of this affair, according to the AFP, regretting the dissemination of the information about police custody in the media. The agency was not immediately able to contact the rapper’s lawyer and the actress’s agent.

“Following a complaint filed in October 2024 denouncing acts of violence by a spouse or ex-spouse between 2017 and 2024, an investigation was launched by the police headquarters under the direction of the Paris prosecutor’s office”explained the public prosecutor. The prosecution clarified that it was not considering “other communication before the orientation decision which will be taken at the end of police custody”.

Doums, already convicted on multiple occasions (in particular for acts of domestic violence, concealment of theft and use of narcotics) is also the target of another complaint from his current partner. Last Sunday, January 11, Vitry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne), the ex-member of the rap collective L’Entourage, in which he shared the bill with Nekfeu (also accused of sexual violence by an ex-partner, but not prosecuted at this stage for these leaders), allegedly assaulted his partner while their two children and a cousin were present on site. She filed a complaint with the police the same day, a few hours before her companion’s arrest. He was placed under judicial supervision pending his trial on February 2 in Créteil.
