Plenković and the ministers brought gifts to Dalmatia: We launched a project worth 40 million euros

Riječ is about a project worth about 40 million euros, which has strategic importance for the entire Split area. Its implementation will ensure a more stable and high-quality supply of drinking water, along with additional protection of the Jadro River.

The mayor of Split, Tomislav Šuta, pointed out that the project fits into a wider plan of infrastructure development.

– In addition to this project, we have the realization of two large agglomerations Split-Solin and Kaštela-Trogir. With these projects, we will achieve the main goals, which means that we will have 99 percent of the population connected to the water supply and almost 98 percent to the drainage system – Šuta said.

Mayor of Solina Dalibor Ninčević he emphasized the multiple importance of the project.

– This project has developmental and ecological value, it enables better conservation of the Jadro River, and we can safely say that the river is about the strategic project. I am especially happy that this is the third time that Prime Minister Plenkovi in this micro location, which speaks volumes about the importance of the project – said Ninčević.

Prime Minister Plenković he reminded that the project worth 34 million euros was co-financed with funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, i.e. the next generation EU instrument.

– This is part of the European Union’s major response to the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused enormous economic damage and changed the way of life. Through a package worth more than 750 billion euros, the EU tried to remedy these consequences and encourage development – Plenkovi said.

During his stay in Split, the Prime Minister held a meeting at 10:30 a.m. with the Mayor of the Split-Dalmatia County, Blaenko Boban, and the Mayor of Split, Tomislav Šuta, in Banovina. After that, in the building of the county, he participated in the inauguration and signing ceremony of a series of contracts and agreements under the jurisdiction of several ministries, including the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

At 12 o’clock, in the Radisson Blu hotel, Plenković He will attend the celebration of the 36th anniversary of the founding of HDZ Split.

In addition to the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Oleg Butković, Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Nataša Mikuš Žigman, Minister of Environmental Protection and Green Transition Marija Vučković, Minister of Tourism and Sports Tonči Glavina and Minister of Science, Education and Youth Radovan Fuchs reside in the Split-Dalmatia County.
