Westbahn wants to make Wiener Neustadt the central hub

Now the private competitor wants to fill the gap. “With the new Westbahn offer on the southern route, we are strengthening Wiener Neustadt as a hub towards Vienna and Villach. Commuters and all rail travelers on the southern route will benefit from this new offer,” said Westbahn managing director Thomas Posch.

As one of the busiest train stations in Austria, Wiener Neustadt will be consolidated as a hub for long-distance traffic on the southern route. The new Westbahn connection strengthens the station’s role as a hub for commuters, travelers and those changing trains from the entire region.
