“Aggravated” man who beat his mother to death with a hammer in Wilrijk remains in jail: “He deeply regrets what happened”

Last Thursday he attacked his mother with a hammer and beat her to death. He then went from their home in Letterkundestraat first to the police station in Doornstraat in Wilrijk and then to the one at Kielpark. There he told me that he had killed his mother. The police rushed to the scene of the crime but could no longer do anything for Anita, she had died. P. was arrested on suspicion of murder. The man in his fifties appeared before the council chamber on Tuesday and his arrest was confirmed.
