An agreement was reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the railway transportation of liquefied gas and bitumen through the territory of Azerbaijan, Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan wrote on his Facebook page.

“Our businessmen can already take advantage of that opportunity,” Papoyan wrote.

A few days ago, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, announced that Armenia has sent a request to Azerbaijan regarding the provision of cargo transit from Armenia to Russia.

“Thus, we de facto unilaterally opened the corridors. “It is true that cargo transportation is carried out through the territory of Georgia, but there will come a day when Armenian cargo will pass directly through the territory of Azerbaijan, and that day is not far away,” he said.

The Ministry of Economy of Armenia announced earlier that Armenia will soon import Russian liquefied gas by rail through the territory of Azerbaijan.
