The government approved the format of subsidies for reservists

One of the main changes was the counting of days of reservist service for the right to receive benefits under the regular call-up, and not under “agenda number 8”.

In addition, eligibility for grants is more clearly defined according to the risk level of the service. Combat unit reservists will receive more than reservists from other units.

Parents of children under 16 years of age who serve at least 20 days in 2026, some of which will fall during children’s holidays, will be entitled to an annual payment of up to NIS 2,000 according to the risk level of service.

Reservists who have accumulated a large number of days of service are eligible for several special grants. In particular, parents of children under 14 years of age will be paid a daily child allowance ranging from 21 to 83 shekels from the 41st day of reservist service. In addition, these employees are also entitled to a grant for personal expenses in the amount of 11-46 shekels for each day of service. Those who have served for at least 45 days will receive an increased housekeeping grant of up to NIS 1,250 on top of the basic grant.

Officers in units with risk levels A and A+, serving as platoon commanders and deputy company commanders will receive NIS 5,000 per year, deputy battalion commanders and company commanders will receive NIS 10,000, and battalion commanders will receive NIS 20,000, provided they have served at least 54 days.

Reservists who have served for at least 10 days will receive a Fighter payment card. Eligibility varies by risk level: A+ level employees will receive NIS 30 per day for the first 30 days, then NIS 80 per day from the 31st day, up to a maximum of NIS 5,000 in total. At Level A the amounts are slightly lower, up to a maximum of NIS 4,250. Reservists who have served at least 45 days, rather than 60 days as before, will be entitled to a vacation voucher.
