The owner of Sotka and Asko has filed for bankruptcy

Furniture stores The owner of Sotka and Asko, Indoor Group, has filed for bankruptcy.

The bankruptcy petition has been filed by the furniture manufacturer Unico Finland.

“We have significant receivables from there, and we’ve had problems getting the receivables,” says Unico’s CEO Pasi Saarinen.

He does not reveal the size of the unclaimed claims. According to Saarinen, the receivables have not been received for a long time.

A lot and Sotka are important customers for Unico Finland, says Saarinen.

According to him, Asko and Sotka are significant players in the entire Finnish furniture industry.

“This is a really sad situation for the industry.”
