The new iOS has arrived, Apple has corrected a number of errors, and finally revealed the new AirTag, here’s what it brings

Prices are unchanged: Apple and Wired list $29 for one and $99 for a pack of čfour, and the AirTag 2 is available for purchase immediately. It is very similar in design to its predecessor, so it turns out that this is more of a ‘quiet’ upgrade from the inside than a completely new device.

If you plan to buy it, the most important thing is this: install iOS 26.2.1 first. You can find the update in Settings, then General, then Software Update, and after that in the Find My application you can pair the new AirTag and use all the search options. 9to5Mac mentions by the way that Apple alreadyć tests iOS 26.3, but iOS 26.2.1 is the key for AirTag 2 compatibility.
