The European Union has officially recognized the IRGC as a terrorist organization

IRGC designation is expected to pave the way for sweeping sanctions, including asset freezes, EU travel bans and restrictions on any person or entity associated with the IRGC.

The EU acknowledges that the move will lead to a significant deterioration in relations between the EU and Iran, and that Tehran is expected to try to mitigate the consequences through diplomatic pressure.
