Lukoil and investment giant Carlyle agreed on deals

American the capital investment giant Carlyle and the Russian oil company Lukoil have reached an agreement on the deals, reports news agency Reuters.

According to Reuters, Lukoil confirmed on Thursday that it will sell its overseas holdings to a US company. However, Lukoil retains its ownership in Kazakhstan.

Carlyle also spoke about the deal, which still has to be approved by the US authorities.

Carlylen the interest was already reported in Novemberwhen the deadline set by the United States for the acquisition of Lukoil’s holdings and the entry into force of sanctions was approaching. Lukoil applied to the deadline for a postponement, and currently the United States has given Lukoil until February 28 to sell its foreign holdings.

United States imposed sanctions For Lukoil and another Russian oil company, Rosneft, in October. Because of this, there have been attempts to sell Lukoil.

Lukoil owns the Teboil gas station chain. Teboil was previously ordered in January for corporate restructuring. Banks have suspended Teboil’s payment traffic.
