STOCK EXCHANGE: Nokia token from collapse, Sotkamo Silver sank

The Helsinki Stock Exchange ended up on Friday. At the end of trading, the stock exchange’s general index was up 0.2 percent at 12557.05 points.

The most traded stock of the day was the financial group Nordea, whose stock ended up 0.7 percent higher at 16.32 euros. Among the twelve most traded stocks, the price trends were fairly evenly distributed.

On Friday, among others, an online company was at the top of the rise Nokiawhose share ended with a 5.7 percent increase to 9.00 euros. Nokia’s stock recovered from yesterday, when the stock was down more than 9 percent at the end of trading after the earnings news.

Nokia announced today that the new chairman of the company’s board will start Timo Ihamuotila increased his ownership in the company.

According to Nokia’s stock exchange release, Ihamuotila acquired a total of 100,000 Nokia shares at an average price of EUR 5.374. The value of the transactions will therefore be 537,400 euros.

Elisa’s result surprised investors

The company’s CEO Topi Manner commented in the results report that the tight competitive situation continued in the Finnish consumer mobile market in the last quarter of the year. Among other things, more intensive campaigning led to higher sales costs.

“Our competitiveness is proven by the fact that in the fierce mobile competition we maintained our market share in consumer voice interfaces,” said Manner.

Investment company Reka Industrial announced on Friday that the group’s subsidiary, which manufactures industrial rubber products Leave Kumi has decided to establish a subsidiary in Ukraine.

According to the company’s press release, the subsidiary to be established will buy an industrial property in Ukraine to start the production of technical rubber products.

Reka’s share price ended up 1.7 percent to 4.76 euros on Friday.

Packaging manufacturer Huhtamäki said that he appointed Riikka Tieahon responsibility, social relations and legal affairs director. He will start his position on June 1, 2026 at the latest Aino Kyytsönen.

The signing of the letter of intent related to the trade was announced in October and the signing of the trade agreement on December 19. The total value of the transferred business is approximately EUR 58 million and the number of personnel is approximately 490.

Administer’s share ended up 1.7 percent higher at 2.38 euros on Friday.
